Amazon Echo Show

Well it looks like Amazon has released another Alexa enabled device. This time it's the Echo Show, this new device seems like a glorified Amazon Kindle tablet to me with large speakers in it and a nice 7 inch screen very similar to the Kindle why this functionalIty isn't being bundled into a Kindle is a bit perplexing. I have heard that the lovely calling function will be available on all Alexa enabled devices tho which DOES make me happy.

Yay Royalties!

 It appears our early retirement is assured!  We got our first royalty payment from Amazon this morning ,  The huge sum of four................ Wait for it ............. Cents for the month of May. Woohoo ! But seriously having shorts and films on Amazon actually seems lucrative. We seem to be making much more money per documentary, short film , how to etc  then we make with Google's Adsense.  Which is nothing to sneeze at,  so it's a great time to be a content creator and the 1-2 punch of Google AdSense and Amazon Royalties  you can make a living. It's now August and we've made a substantially higher amount of royalties then in May, thankfully it's hundreds of times what it was in May.  Yes Amazon is much more difficult to deal with, in fact recently we had a dilemma with several videos  regarding the cover art which hopefully has been straightened out finally. This will be a far cry from the one short we had there back in the May. Have a great day thanks for reading hope to see you again soon.

Amazon vs YouTube

Good morning everyone, been collecting data for a while now on my #Amazon video account vs my #YouTube channels. The results are blowing my mind. The month of July the dozen or so videos I have on Amzon outperformed the 300+ videos I have on YouTube. Let that sink in for a moment. Yes Amazon is much stricter on content and requires subtitle files but it seems that at least for me Amazon is a better fit. I even have one video on Amazon that is exclusively on Amazon. I'd planned to keep it exclusive for 2 months. I'm thinking that I may keep it exclusive to Amazon. It's more of a long form video than most of my others. I'd LOVE to get on Netflix, Hulu, Google Play , iTunes and Vudu etc but one summit at a time. I've got the majority of my videos on Amazon set to watch #Free via #Prime or ad supported. Subtitles the next great mobile app?

Good morning everyone, I hope this day finds you well rested, happy and healthy. I foresee a wonderful opportunity for app creators , #Amazon requires #Subtitles for there #videos and it seems to be derailing many a content creators dreams of conquering this recently opened avenue to audiences. I hope all those eager application writers see the writing on the wall and inundate the #Google #Play store and #Apple App Store with Subtitling applications. New Amazon Kindle

Well it looks like #Amazon is creating a new #Kindle #Oasis ebook reader, I personally have the #Fire which is color and was on sale at the Holidays for a lovely price and still sells for about $50. This new #Oasis is a pricey one at nearly $300. They say it's the thinnest and lightest #Kindle they've ever made as well as sporting a resolution of 300 ppi and the longest battery life ever. Amazon Echo family

So have the Alec Baldwin commercials Intrigue you with the Amazon Echo? Does the $180 price for the echo and the $129.99 price of the Amazon Echo tap and the $89.95 price for the echo dot make you think twice about your idea. If you have the Amazon Fire TV stick you do know that Alexa is built into that now and what you also may not know is that you can now link Bluetooth speakers and headphones to the Amazon Fire TV stick as long as you give the stick power I believe you should be able to use it with the voice remote or the voice remote app on an Android or iOS phone and get some of the echo families versatility I know it works for my Amazon Fire TV box I have not actually tried it with the Amazon Fire TV stick phone last night I was listening to Amazon Prime music with my television off through a pair of nice CJ sound Bluetooth headphones from the Amazon Fire TV box so it may be something to take a look at and try. Amazon Fire TV

Picked up a Amazon Fire TV box today this way I can plug in via Ethernet and avoid buffering troubles do Wi-Fi issues. I also noted that I could link Bluetooth headsets and speakers to it so I can now play Amazon Prime music through a Bluetooth device with the TV off I'm not sure if I could do that with the firetv stick I never actually tried it would be nice if it does work. I will have to try that at some point and I will of course mention it here for all you lovely readers. Now that Alexa is built into the Fire TV box I kind of regret ordering the Amazon Echo. I think I can get the same capabilities by simply adding an Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth receiver to my clock radio. So yes I will have more experimenting to do I will of course let you guys know if I get the firetv stick itself to work with Bluetooth headsets and speakers which would be wonderful so it would kind of negate the need for the new Echo Tap & Echo dot.

Alexa on the Fire TV stick

Now that I have MY Fire TV stick instead of my Partners all the Amazon Alexa stuff and IFTTT recipes I created are working well tho the Alexa to IFTTT commands to turn lights on and off is a tad sluggish. I like the recipes to track what music I've listened to for the week , the post song I'm listening to on Facebook may get annoying tho. I'll have to see if I can get it to post in blocks 10 or something along those lines.
