Amazon vs YouTube

Good morning everyone, been collecting data for a while now on my #Amazon video account vs my #YouTube channels. The results are blowing my mind. The month of July the dozen or so videos I have on Amzon outperformed the 300+ videos I have on YouTube. Let that sink in for a moment. Yes Amazon is much stricter on content and requires subtitle files but it seems that at least for me Amazon is a better fit. I even have one video on Amazon that is exclusively on Amazon. I'd planned to keep it exclusive for 2 months. I'm thinking that I may keep it exclusive to Amazon. It's more of a long form video than most of my others. I'd LOVE to get on Netflix, Hulu, Google Play , iTunes and Vudu etc but one summit at a time. I've got the majority of my videos on Amazon set to watch #Free via #Prime or ad supported. Unfortunately ad supported is only for folks in the US right now. A few you can purchase or rent. Here's a list of some of our stuff on Amazon if you are interested. Amazon Video Direct

And the news from Amazon just keeps on coming. Amazon now has Amazon video Direct which appears to be a serious competitor to Google YouTube. We are prepared to live in interesting times I'm probably going to sign up after I finish this blog post and then start brainstorming some content for Amazon's new service. Big Biting Pig Films

Are you lamenting the lack of good horror for free well if so check out the films by big biting Pig they have several films such as the excellent vampire film The caretakers on YouTube as well as others and tonight I'll be checking out their film Lucid on Amazon Prime which is also free if you're an Amazon Prime member of course. I'm not sure how these folks are recouping their investments in the films by offering free to view movies but I applaud their efforts I honestly think you should check them out if you enjoy horror. Always good to support indie filmmakers.

Panasonic TZ100

Panasonic TZ100 20 megapixel stills and shoots 4K video internally with 5 axis IBIS and 10X zoom Leica lens this could be fun little toy. 1" sensor like the Sony RX100 IV . I hear the EVF and screen aren't nearly as nice as the Sony tho and the max aperture not as good either but lower price point than RX100 so kind of expected. I don't think I'll regret getting the Panasonic LX100 for in studio product reviews for Youtube versus the TZ100 but sounds like a promising pocket camera.

There's unlikely to be a new episode on #madmohawkfilms on #youtube this Monday courtesy of Presidents day. Soon will have another #Vintage 50mm F1.7 and a #Sigma 30mm F2.8 Art lens on the #Sony #A7 tho.
