Panasonic G7 and Sigma 19mm First Look at Mad Mohawk Films in Ultra HD

Panasonic G7 and Sigma 19mm First Look at Mad Mohawk Films shooting 4K or more accurately Ultra High Definition or UHD this camera was bought for shooting video only to be honest. This is our first run at it and II see I need to experiment more with it as the color is a bit muted it looks good. Nice and sharp. It's an amazingly inexpensive pairing, the $599 G7 and the $199 Sigma 19mm. The included kit lens isn't bad either. We will be shooting more and more of our footage in 4K as we proceed. Lt. Harryhausen Undead Detective hashtag

Some of my colleague's, or perhaps they are just the voices in my head, are saying #LieutenantHarryhausenUndeadDetective is absurdly long. Suggestions such as #LtHarryhausenUndeadDetective or even the double entendre laden #TheUndeadDick have been tossed about. I hate to lose the Harryhausen pinache but understand that's a mouthful. What do you fine folks think? Are these hashtags too large for #Twitter & #Instagram ?

Tamron 11-18mm in Full Frame mode at 15mm on the Sony A7 tonight we take this Canon EF-S CRop Lens Full Frame on the Sony A7 via the Commlite adapter. Shockingly the lens doesn't vignette in Full frame from 15-18mm. This is a fairly inexpensive Canon EF-S mount lens and it was fun playing with it on the Commlite adapter on the Sony A7. Panasonic LX100 First Look at Mad Mohawk Films 4K wonder

Panasonic LX100 First Look at Mad Mohawk Films shooting delicious 4K. Let me get this right out of the way. We got this camera for Video and Video only. I am spoiled by the lovely stills I get from my Sony A7 and am unlikely to use this for stills but the Video I pull from it is quite quite nice. The biggest issue I have with it and it's actually fairly mundane, the lack of a microphone input and a headphone output. Why is it mundane? Well the built in mics in a quiet studio environment close up work pretty well but I do have a digital recorder to do dual system audio and synch in FCPX so it's a minor detail. The 24-75mm F1.7-2.8 Leica lens is nice and sharp and reasonably fast. The fact that it is non removable is not a big hindrance as this camera will mostly be used for interviews and product reviews so having a long zoom won't be missed. I've used the App to control the camera via my phone, it cuts down on some of the digging thru menus so is another plus. It's pretty reasonably priced at $699 currently Same Sensor as the GH4 I'm told and shoots 100mbit 4k footage. My Rode Reel 2016

Well I finally got around to shooting some footage and the behind-the-scenes for this years My Rode Reel 2016.Will be editing both the behind the scenes and the main footage over the next few days. It's Horror oriented that's about all I will say for now. It's somewhat comedic at least I hope it is if it's not I apologize. Luckily it's not overly long so even if it's not as good as I hope it shouldn't put anyone into a coma. So if you haven't started yours yet what are you waiting for Rode is very very generous to the Indy filmmaking community with this contest which is in its third year. If you decide to enter good luck break a leg and may the force be with you. We shot this years entry using 4K cameras for both the main footage and for the behind the scenes the main footage we shot with the Panasonic G7 and the behind the scenes shot with the Panasonic LX 100 with that gorgeous Leica lens.

Lightweight Run & Gun 4K system

Here's a tongue in cheek look at a Lightweight Run & Gun 4K system, it's not totally far fetched of course as the #Panasonic #LX100 shoots gorgeous #4K footage with it's super sharp #Leica 24-75mm F1.7-28 equivalent #FOV lens. The LX100 , #DMC-G7 and the fabulous #GH4 all share the same Micro 4/3 sensor I believe and the camera has built in stabilization as well which is another plus to this budget rig. It's sitting in most of a #Sony #A7 cage from #SmallRig and has a #Rode #VideoMicro on it's hotshoe and attached to the side #cheesebar is the #Tascam #DR22WL digital recorder to grab sound as the LX100 alas lacks a microphone input and headphone monitor jack so recording external sound is a must. This can then replace the scratch track captured by the camera's built in mic's. Final Cut Pro X makes short work of this as does Red Giant's Pluraleyes. Why do I say it's most of a SmallRig cage? Simple, I had to remove the top plate to give myself room for the mini shotgun mic. Yes at some point I will shoot this contraption handheld. Perhaps a trip to Coney Island is in order to give this a bit of a workout. What do you think of this mini rig? COD:Black Ops III Reaper sounds ALOT like an original series Battlestar Galactica Cylon

Call of Duty®: Black Ops III , Playing Team Deathmatch on Infection Map using the Reaper which sounds eerily like the "Toasters" from the original Battlestar Galactica series with Lorne Greene etc better known as the Cylons. This game I started off doing POORLY but did catch up on myself a bit and finally got to call in The Wraith for Air Support later in the Game which was another first for me. The Wraith is pretty wicked. Again I used the Weevil Assault Rifle which I'm finding to be my Go To more and more. Thermite Bombs caused me problems initially, got too hungg up on trying to light enemies on fire with them and my kill to death ratio suffered greatly. It would be GREAT if Treyarch could license the Cylon character and make a DLC for the Reaper to look like the Cylons instead of just sounding like them. As you can see in the Thumbnail we also have started using some lovely Silicon Skins on our controllers. These should help them stay new looking and the knurled top on the buttons for the sticks are GREAT! Please Subscribe and give us a thumbs up. COD:Black Ops III GI Unit Unleashed on the Infection Map in Team DeathMatch it was like having an extra player in the game with us. Very nice. Was using the Weevil again and setting the world ablaze with Thermite bombs. I don't think the Nomad's Orange Jumpsuit was particularly apropriate to the snowy nature of the Infection Map tho but it is kind of comical looking against the white snow. COD: Black Ops III Hunted map & Weevil Assault Rifle

COD:Black Ops II Hunted map using the Lovely Weevil Assault Rifle and LCAR-9's Akimbo to wreak mayhem. COD Black Ops III Gameplay on the Hunted map & Weevil Assault Rifle with LCAR-9's Akimbo and my new favorite the Thermite bombs which make a lovely mess of opponents unlucky enough to get hit with it which sets the poor blighters on fire! I may even have to monkey with my Custom Loadout swapping out the concussion grenades for another Thermite bomb. Call of Duty:Black Ops III using the Audio-Technica ATR2500 Microphone and a set of over the ear Headphones. This is a mic I got as a gift and have used often for VoiceOver work , while not quite as clean as using the Audio-Technica AT2020 XLR mic it's pretty close. We used the included desktop stand for the mic and plugged into the mic's headphone jack. It should sound a fair bit better than the inexpensive headset I've been using for Voiceover in game. I've even better Mic's that I'll try in future too. We also use the Wingard Popgard pop filter on the ATR2500 to cut down on the plosives. So I'm kinda partial to the Seraph character , I like her special Weapon the ENORMOUS Revolver she carries tho I often miss with most shots alas. Kill me again First Look at Mad Mohawk Gaming Todays a nice Vampire themed game that seems to also be sort of Zombie related as well. There's a bit of a novel method for firing your ranged weapons, I guess to make iot more "realistic" as you can't just TWITCH the Trigger to fire.Not sure if I like it or not but the Graphics are gorgeous. Thanks to the gorgeous graphics tho the load times are a bit long however. Tradeoffs we face for better looking graphics. Real Racing 3 First Look at Mad Mohawk Gaming simple game to get into yet has a high replay value as you race online or offline against strangers friends and Artificial Intelligence Racers. Progress further and further and get better and better cars to race with. Some of the cars are difficult to attain without spending real money but if you are patient and grind you can eventually do it. My only gripe with the game is the LOW payouts for winning some of the races. You have to repair damage to your car, rebuild engines, upgrade cars. You can do custom paint schemes , this is a very large and feature rich game , more impressive still when you realize that it's FREE tho there is in game purchases that can be done.
