Spirits using White Noise to communicate?

Did an initial test last night with the White noise Generator. Tried EVP's with it for 5-6 minutes not a peep other than the shhhhhhhh of white noise. Then grabbed phone and continued another 5-6 minutes asking questions with both the white noise generator and a Spirit Box app running. The app spit out myriad answers while the white noise generator just kept doing its thing spitting out white noise.

Is this conclusive? Of course not, the Phone apps are made as Novelties and while fun to use I don't consider them valid evidence. I'll have to borrow a Ghostbox/Spiritbox and try again soon. Will likely film this version.

Your mileage may vary.

Dark World:Into the shadows review

Dark World:Into the shadows by Zak Bagans and Kelly Crigger quick review. I've seen some negative reviews on this book and plenty of positive reviews on this book I'm just about done with it and I tend to side with people on the positive side more. I'm not sure what book the people who were criticizing the writing read but I see no issues really with the writing. The subject matter also is quite interesting And reasonably well thought out and presented. I actually like the folks on paranormal State more than Zak Baggins and his crew but having said that this was quite an interesting book I gave it four stars out of five and would recommend it to anyone interested in the subject. You can't go far wrong reading this I actually have another of Zak Baggins books on the way.

Interesting gadget

Wow , just umm WOW. Saw this mentioned in one of the other Paranormal Groups. Supposedly a limited run of 5. I'm sorry it looks Ike a Game console camera rehoused and a Tablet attached. Some custom software. Some ummm interesting gadgets get released. Reminds me of Motion Capture software or even the stuff folks get when using the XBox Kinect.   Link

Photo's can you believe your eyes?

Having a discussion on one of the forums and folks showing a nice picture which may or may not have a spirit visible in it. Then there's the "red eyes" in the forest discussion. I mentioned that photographers have been plagued by this red eye a long time stat it may simply be light reflecting off the eyes. I also suggested that the spirit image is somewhat easily faked. Especially when the entity is off in the distance and the quality is not so great. I've been a photographer and filmmaker a lot longer than I've been doing Paranormal Investigation. I try to keep in mind the things I've learned over the years and not immediately conclude things are Paranormal. I'll leave you with an image to look at. Not from the discussion, it's one of mine.

EVP excerpts captured between 2am and 4am in a private home

EVP excerpts captured between 2am and 4am in a private home. The people residing here tell us it's usually much more active there but in 2 hours of recording we only caught these few snippets. We hope to return soon with Full Spectrum camera's and infrared lights and more recorders and hope that it Is indeed a more active night. The building shown is NOT the home these came from. That is an image of a building at the entrance to a local cemetery. We will not be divulging the location of the house to keep the family from being pestered by the curious. The responses were not audible when we were recording but were heard when reviewed the files with headphones and boosted the signal strength a bit. Thanks for visiting! Greenwood Cemetery

Just took a stroll by Greenwood Cemetery supposedly a haunted location here in beautiful Brooklyn New York whether it is or it is not it is a wonderful wonderful place to visit with lots and lots of famous folks buried there they give tours I'm not sure if they give permission to ghost hunt in the evening more than likely you would have to do so from outside the gates.

Spirit boxes hoax or amazing device

Well I went to last nights Brooklyn ghost hunters meet up group here in beautiful Gravesend Brooklyn last night and met some nice folks had some good chatter about ghost hunting and possible places to hunt equipment and so forth. Now just from seeing some of the shows on reality TV to me some of the equipment just seems ludicrous. For example the ghost boxes or squawk boxes or whatever they call them they're the ones that the scan radio frequencies and spit out random gibberish in answer to your questions I think that they are nonsense but like I told the folks last night I am not in investigator I'm a camera operator/filmmaker and they just don't seem like plausible devices yet they used constantly.  What are your thoughts on these devices do you think they truly to function as advertised or are they simply a money grab? Here is a link to a video giving reasons not to buy them and simply use good quality audio recorders for EVP's.    Ghost Box Link

Ghost Hunting Gear idea

In case I've piqued your interest but you are not looking to spend a fortune seeking out pricey equipment for Ghost hunting , have a peek at this. Talking about converting an Action Camera to Full Spectrum to shoot in complete darkness. Check out this Amazon affiliate deal: SJCAM Original SJ4000, Lens without IR Cut Fliter and Infrared Flashlight

Or here's a Ready to go Full Spectrum Camera

SJ4000 with 6mm Lens Converted to Full Spectrum Camera & Audio Technica ATR2500 Mic

SJ4000 with 6mm Lens Converted to Full Spectrum Camera & Audio Technica ATR2500 Mic so we are revisiting this camera once again having now put a 6mm lens in it. The lens was about $8 and due to the Crop value of the small sensor this 6mm lens gives a FOV of 31.2mm or so. The lens was ordered sans IR block so the camera remains Full Spectrum capable. To avoid crummy sound I used my trusty Audio-Technia ATR2500 USB Mic into my Apple Mac and used GarageBand to record the audio which I synched up and replaced the SJ4000 audio with in Final Cut Pro X. Next time I use this camera I'm likely to connect it to my Feiyu G3 3 axis Gimbal and walk around at night to see how steady this combination will be while carrying an Infrared light. Converting to Full Spectrum seems to be better than camera's with Nightvision which boost the gain and give a Green tint to everything as well as changing the shutter speed/angle. whereas shooting with a Full Spectrum Camera it's like shooting in daylight tho the Infrared light is mostly outside the spectrum of human vision. Full Spectrum SJ4000 Action Cam plus SolarForce L2 with IR insert YAY Nightvision Take 2

Full Spectrum SJ4000 Action Cam plus SolarForce L2 with IR insert YAY Nightvision Take 2 , I took a Clone of the SJCam SJ4000 and converted it to Full Spectrum. This allows me to shoot in pitch darkness while using an Infrared light source which is unseen by human eyes but the converted camera picks up quite readily. This was a relatively simple conversion and took me under 10 minutes to do. Local folks talking about forming a Ghost Hunting/Paranormal Group and it piqued my interest so tried to do this as inexpensively as possible and think I succeeded quite well. The Camera still needs some tweaking in the Focus department. Suprised that GoPro hasn't jumped on this bandwagon. Maybe make one called the GoPro NightShot for the folks who don't ant to gut their camera to do this. Perhaps include a Cage and a Screw on IR Block filter for daylight use. I was SHOCKED at how bright the SolarForce L2 with the Infrared Bulb assembly was, my initial attempts were blowing out facial fewatures. Once I moved the light back 7-8 feet from the subject it looks alot better and covers a larger area to boot. Any of you in the local area wishing your Action Cam to be converted, I'd likel do it for $50 or so unlike the Conversions for DSLR's that cost nearly $300 Thanks for visiting! Full Spectrum SJ4000 Action Cam plus SolarForce L2 with IR insert YAY Nightvision

Full Spectrum SJ4000 Action Cam plus SolarForce L2 with IR insert YAY Nightvision , Found out that these action camera's are fairly simple to convert to Full Spectrum to allow shooting in Pitch Darkness and still capture very useable footage once an Infrared Light Source is employed so decided to do one. Here's our First test, alas we had the IR light a bit too close so blew out the face. More experimentation is needed. Should we do more videos along this line or stick to Tarot/Horoscope and Games? Let us knopw in the comments below.
