First Look at the Neewer Timer and Remote Release on the Sony A7 having a quick look at a new item we've gotten in, I didn't want to spend the money on the Time Lapse App for the Sony A7 as I saw this was available for a wee bit more. It's marked as working with the A7 Series as well as the A6000 and I'm happy to say it works fine on my A7 and even on my A5100 which was a nice suprise. At some point in the future I'll revisit this with a Time lapse on the A7 and/or the A5100 . This device functions fine as a Shutter release without having to put batteries in but to use the Time Lapse function requires battery power in the form of 2 AAA's
I beieve it was about $22 and I like the fact that I can use on multiple camera's

Sony SEL16F28 on Sony A5100 with and without the Vivitar 43 Wide Angle Adapter on it
This week we take a look at the Sony SEL16F28 on the Sony A5100 camera. We shoot it normally and then add a Vivitar .43 Wide Angle Adapter on the end of it bringing the apparent Field of View to about 10mm after taking into account the Crop Value due to the APS-C sized sensor. I do have to remember to NOT keep the selfie screen on the A5100 flipped up as it was distracting me from proper eye line.

Dual System Sound with the Audio Technica ATR-2500 Microphone
Our latest video features me shooting with my Sony A5100 with the Sigma 60mm F2.8 lens on it and recording Dual System Sound directly into Apple's GarageBand using an Audio-Technica ATR-2500 Large Condenser Super Cardiod Mic. This mic has a built in USB interface which removes the need for Phantom Power. Most microphones of this type require 48 Volt's of Phantom Power.
Enjoy
