SJ4000 Action Cam Converted to use C Mount Lenses

SJ4000 Action Cam Converted to use C Mount Lenses , took a $35 SJ4000 clone from China and adapted it to mount C mount Lenses on it. In the footage Shown I use the Fujian 35mm F1.7 C Mount Lens on the Converted Action Cam.This is an inexpensive new manufacture lens selling for about $25 on Ebay. The small Sensor on the camera gives you a 5.2 times crop value making this 35mm more like a 182mm Field of View. As you can see this was a fairly simple conversion requiring a $12 M12 to C mount adapter off Ebay also direct from China. In the past I'd swapped out the original 2.8mm lens from this camera with a 6mm with no IR block on it to allow Full Spectrum Shooting. I find this $35 SJ4000 cone the perfect platform for experimentation. Putting a C mount on this camera opens a world of possibilities with this camera for eliminating Fisheye and much more. Concentrating on Vintage glass

Good evening folks, we've been concentrating on Vintage Glass lately. So many inexpensive fast primes out there that are easily adaptable to other systems makes it easy to build a nice set of primes fairly inexpensively piece by piece. Our next video will likely be no exception, more than likely it will be a Vivitar 135mm F2.8 in Canon FD mount. Most of my vintage primes are Canon FD mount in fact tho I have adapters for Nikon, Pentax-110 and even C mount. Hoping to fill the holes in my Canon FD mount prime collection but patience is needed to find them at good prices. For example lately I've been pricing 85mm primes....... So far it's looking more cost effective to get a used Rokinon 85mm than a vintage one which kinda bugs me out. Having a vault full of vintage is NICE tho and of course once I've got a complete set I'm sure then the bug to get the fastest primes will take over. Keep your lenses in good shape they'll last a long long time and continue to produce stunning images.

C Mount lens adapted for use on Sony NEX camera

I am pleasantly shocked that the Fujian 35mm C mount lens does not vignette on the Sony NEX series camera even tho it has an APS-C sized sensor which is many times the size of the 2/3" sensor this lens was designed for. A happy discovery to say the least. The Fujian 35mm F1.7 lens was under $30 and the adapter another $7 or so. Definitely a bargain for a fast prime lens that gives a nice look to footage.
