The events take place December 3-14 in Downtown Detroit.
GRiZ is no stranger to philanthropy. The acclaimed musician and performer has hosted his 12 Days Of GRiZMAS event for five years running, benefitting Detroit’s inner-city youth. Now, he’s announced the schedule for the event’s sixth year.
The sixth annual event series will see two GRiZ performances, yoga, dodgeball, a roller disco, and more. Furthermore, a holiday jazz performance featuring GRiZ and friends will be held on December 10th.
Also included is a mystery pop-up DJ set at a secret location (GRiZ’s calling card), a workshop running all 12 days, and a local mic night that will host Detroit’s own musicians, comedians, poets, and more.
The 12 Days Of GRiZMAS events are all donation-based charitable events that benefit Detroit’s inner-city youth. Seven Mile, a nonprofit that helps develop programs in art, music, and coding in Detroit is the charity that the donations benefit. GRiZ has raised over $100,000 for Seven Mile in just the past two years alone.
2019 looks to be the biggest 12 Days Of GRiZMAS yet. The event series will be held across downtown Detroit from December 3-14. More information on the 12 Days Of GRiZMAS can be found here.
