This Year's Improvements to RED Accessories Includes a Smaller Lighter & Sexier Side Handle

RED may have not announced anything huge at NAB, but they definitely came out with some "refinements" to their existing line of cameras.

Because RED doesn't appear on camera, we got the scoop from DP Timur Civan while hanging out at the RED booth. New products include a brand new side handle, which is much smaller, lighter, and potentially more comfortable to use thanks to the absence of the battery case and LCD screen that came standard on the original handle. They also introduced a more compact back plate, as well as a Jetpack 2 which comes with a built-in SDI expansion port.
