Dissolve aims to do all the tedious post-production work and licensing so their contributors only have to send them raw footage. The company started when their founder was getting into stock media and found the process of stock editing and licensing too time-consuming, and now with Dissolve's Liftoff program, the legwork has been taken out of handling licensing and editing for approved contributors. In their current profit plan, contributors get 30% for non-exclusive content, but exclusive contributors get a higher rate along with a variety of perks and deeper involvement with the company.
