The birth of VR and 360° video has lead to a rebirth in potential for the minuscule camera, as they continue to cement their place within the VR filmmaker's toolkit.
They showed off their new Omnirig, a six camera synced spherical solution for VR ($1,500 without cameras, $5,000 with) and The Odyssey, a stereo rig they've developed in partnership with Google, which boasts sixteen. GoPro also talked about their new Developer Program, which may be of interest if you're looking to hop onboard as they continue to ride the wave into this emerging field of filmmaking.
