Madeon took to Twitter to drop a bomb of a teaser.
Electronic music wunderkind Madeon took to Twitter today, July 28th, to announce a new project releasing tomorrow featuring Game of Thrones stars Lena Headey and Maisie Williams.
Madeon tagged both Headey and Williams in the tweet, writing, "I have a surprise for you tomorrow!" while sharing a cryptic image of what appears to be Williams floating in an animated neon sky.
Back in December 2019, a report by Bustle indicated that the Game of Thrones actors were collaborating on a music video with Madeon, with Headey directing and Williams starring. The former also took to Instagram to tease the project at the time. You can find that post below.
The Chillicothe, Illinois fest is set to take place May 28th to 30th, 2021 and features an expansive lineup of major electronic music artists, funk acts, rappers, and more. All of the headliners that were announced prior to the postponement are returning except for GRiZ. Even without bass music's de facto funk master general, the genre is well-represented, as REZZ, Snails, CloZee, WHIPPED CREAM, Boogie T, Moody Good, and LSDREAM are primed for appearances, among others. Staying true to its roots, Summer Camp also tapped many illustrious jam bands for its 2021 fest, including moe., Umphrey's McGee, and STS9.
"With the festival having been rescheduled into 2021 (due to Covid-19), we are intending to bring the same momentum into 2021," reads an official press statement. "With that being said, we’ve been working hard to keep the lineup as similar as possible and are extremely happy to announce the lineup (so far) for Summer Camp Music Festival 2021. We are still working out details of the move to 2021 with few artists and hope to also announce them soon!”
In light of the postponement earlier in the month of July, Summer Camp is still honoring refund requests. Those who wish to submit one have until this Friday, July 31st, 2020 at 11:59PM CST.

Prydz delivered one of the festival's most memorable performances, thanks in part to his subversive new stage design.
Fabled electronic music producer and DJ Eric Prydz is not known for modesty when it comes to his stage designs. The Swedish sage has long been recognized as one of the industry's true trailblazers in terms of not only music production, but also live event production. Prydz and his team harness an unwavering desire to push the envelope of his live DJ sets, painstakingly working to develop some of the most subversive visual displays EDM fans have ever seen, like his "V O I D" and "HOLOSPHERE" productions.
When the organizers of preeminent music fest Tomorrowlandannounced the brand's foray into the virtual space, Prydz saw an opportunity and pounced on it like a panther on a wild boar. He went on to announce the debut of his subversive "[CELL.]" stage design before unveiling it in a teaser video, which flung his fanbase headfirst into a fever pitch ahead of the livestream event.
Following its debut at Tomorrowland Around The World, Prydz took to Facebook to share a video of the mind-bending "[CELL.]" production, reinforcing his status as a bona fide EDM neoteric. You can watch the clip below.
The announcement arrived after Roblox reported a staggering 150 million monthly active users.
One of the most influential tastemakers in the electronic music sphere is further angling to be a driving force in the gaming community after the announcement of a monumental partnership.
Renowned independent electronic label Monstercat took to Twitter today, July 28th, 2020 to announce that it has teamed up with prestigious game creation platform Roblox to provide users access to its distinguished catalog of music. Monstercat now offers 51 tracks to Roblox developers, who may use the music in their games for free. More songs will also be added to Roblox Studio on a regular basis, according to a report by GamesBeat, the gaming vertical of leading technology website VentureBeat.
The Monstercat partnership is the latest effort by Roblox to empower its creators with more tools and incentives to flesh out their games. According to GamesBeat, Roblox, a unique platform that allows users to program their own games and play those created by others, expects to pay $250 million to its vast creator pool so its composers can monetize their titles. The San Mateo, California-based company recently reported a monthly active user base of over 150 million.
Tracks included in Monstercat's official Roblox inventory include Tokyo Machine's "EPIC," Rootkit's "Taking Me," and Jay Cosmic's "Ocean Eyes," among many others. You can check out the label's announcement below.
Toole, 39, is a music teacher and dubstep producer who was recently diagnosed with a Stage 4 glioblastoma, a form of malignant brain tumor. Following his diagnosis, he was told that the average life expectancy for people in his situation was 15 months.
In his valiant fight against the vicious cancer, Toole reached out to his friends in the bass music community to see if they were willing to produce tracks for a charity compilation, the release of which would raise both funds and awareness. After receiving an overwhelming amount of interest, a record label called Fight or Flight Recordings was developed months later to act as a vessel for Toole's aptly-titled compilation, Survival is Instinct, as well as future projects to augment research efforts in the fight against cancer. Proceeds from the record will be directed to The Brain Tumour Charity, the world's largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumors.
"I’m really excited about the release and the projects we have coming up. I hope we can raise lots of money for the battle against cancer," Toole told the Derbyshire Times. "Luckily I’ve been well supported by friends and family, which has made it a lot easier, because occasionally I thought about giving up."
Survival is Instinct is a song-cycle of lo-fi, drum & bass, and dubstep that Toole characterized as "a celebration of UK underground electronic music." "It’s been very hard trying to coordinate the numerous different producers who have donated tracks for the album – but I feel the music we are releasing is of a fantastic quality," he said. "The mood of the album shifts, track by track, creating an engaging and evolving listen from start to finish."
You can pre-order Survival is Instinct, which officially drops on July 31st, 2020, via Bandcamp here. To donate to the Brain Tumour Charity, navigate to the initiative's JustGiving page.
Just over one week after teasing the remix on social media, Space Mom has unveiled its official audio.
Just over one week after teasing the track on social media, REZZ has unveiled the official audio of her rework of Melanie Martinez's single "Tag, You're It."
When REZZ shared a clip of the remix on Instagram on July 20th, she remained mum on the details, cryptically sharing nothing but a short preview and a "musical note" emoji. She has now dropped the "Tag, You're It" remix in full as a fortuitous treat to her loyal fanbase. The tune is a return to the midtempo mayhem of Space Mom past, following the alt-rock and electro hybrid "Someone Else" with Grabbitz.
The rework features the quirky, hypnotic synths that REZZ seems to blend so effortlessly with each release, which float and build above dark reece bass before eventually culminating in a thunderous midtempo drop.
