Skrillex, Madeon, and Axwell all appeared on "Chromatica." Who do you think should be next?
With last weekend's release of her newest album Chromatica, one thing was very clear: Lady Gaga knows her EDM. For her sixth studio album, the eleven-time Grammy-winning pop star collaborated with an astonishing number of dance music artists. Joining executive producer BloodPop®were none other than Skrillex, Axwell, Tchami, and Madeon, among others more.
In honor of this monumental celebration of pop and dance music, we want to hear from you—which EDM artist should Lady Gaga should collaborate with next?
The EDM heavyweight was featured alongside acts like 311, Hoobastank, and Insane Clown Posse.
In the most unexpected crossover of the year, Zedd was featured in the newest music video from 90s nu-metal band Alien Ant Farm. On the band's latest track, they covered Wham!'s 1984 classic "Everything She Wants." While they're certainly no stranger to providing rock spins to pop songs, they decided to take their music video in a different direction and feature tons of special guests.
Although many of the featured cameos were fans or bands from the same era as Alien Ant Farm, EDM lovers' ears perked up when they saw one of the biggest names in the genre appear. For those having trouble finding the electronic music easter egg, the brief shot of him smiling and playing air drums happens just after the 1:50 mark.
Surprising to some, Zedd superfans know the appearance isn't as random as it seems. Many often forget that before taking the dance music world by storm with hits like "Clarity" and 'The Middle," the Russian-German DJ/producer got his start playing drums in a heavy metal band named Dioramic.
"Everything She Wants" by Alien Ant Farm is out now. You can download or stream here.
The duo's latest collaboration is the follow-up to their 2018 track "Reverse" with Vic Mensa.
Ahead of the release of his upcoming album Everything’s Strange Here, G-Eazy has reunited with Marshmello for the poolside singalong, "Stan By Me." Released just one week after the debut single from the album, "Free Porn Cheap Drugs," G-Eazy's shift in style is very apparent. While his songs are traditionally rapped, his two newest releases see him show off his singing voice.
Despite being produced by one of EDM's biggest names, the track is not electronic in nature. The masked producer flaunts his production flexibility with a gentle, guitar-led groove intertwined with bubbly drums that can't help but make you think of the beach. "Stan By Me" is not the first time these two artists have collaborated. Back in 2018, the duo teamed up with Vic Mensa for their hip-hop heater "Reverse."
You can stream "Stan By Me" or download the summertime jam here.
EDM's in-house funk master general, GRiZ, is celebrating his 30th birthday today by releasing a new single called "Solo."
"Solo" features hip-hop and R&B singer-songwriter and frequent collaborator ProbCause, who infuses a splash of soul into the ambient funk ballad.
Along with the single's release came an accompanying music video that is quintessential GRiZ. During the video's entirety, GRiZ dances on his rooftop under a picturesque sky, which is overlaid with neon filters to create a kaleidoscopic effect. It harkens back to GRiZ's pre-pandemic "Imaginarium" live production, which was marked by an awe-inspiring symphony of polychromatic lasers.
"Solo" is the first single off GRiZ's forthcoming Chasing The Golden Hour Pt. 3 project. As of the time of writing, he hasn't divulged a release date.
Fresh off the release of his Ruby EP, which came out earlier this year via Insomniac Records, young talent Devault makes sure to keep himself busy throughout 2020, enlisting producer Manila Killa and singer/songwriter Griff Clawson for the impactful cut “You And Me Now.” The song marks Devault’s first independent release, as he shared to fans in a social media post, and is undoubtedly one of his strongest pieces to date.
A meaningful and atmospheric house tune, “You And Me Now” quickly gets into action with a bass-heavy instrumental under Griff Clawson's emotional vocal performance before exploding into a dancefloor-friendly climax, filled with thumping kicks and ever-evolving synths.
23-year-old producer Devault has had a hell of a run within the electronic music space in recent years. His official remix for DJ Snake’s “A Different Way” was crowned by Billboard as one of their top 10 remixes of 2017, and led to various official remixes for the likes of Rihanna, 6LACK, Sabrina Claudio, Alessia Cara and Daya, as well as performances in festivals such as HARD Summer, Coachella (Heineken House), Electric Zoo, Holy Ship and more.

To that end, he's aiming to bring people together from around the world through the power of music and the iconic New York City backdrop.

He is due out with a single titled "Live Without Your Love" next month.
Calvin Harris reminded us recently that even the most successful producers started from humble beginnings. As he announced the news of his forthcoming Defected Records debut, titled "Live Without Your Love," Calvin Harris also shared a letter from over twenty years ago dating back to when the superstar producer submitted his first demo to the label.
The handwritten letter was from Defected's founder, Simon Dunmore, who thanked young Adam Wiles, Calvin Harris' real name, for his submission. Although the demo did not fit the label, Dunmore seemed impressed by the submission and eager to stay in touch.
Years later, Calvin Harris has progressed from bedroom producer to the upper echelon of the both the dance music community and the mainstream. Despite the passing of time, Wiles and Dunmore have remained in touch. It was reportedly during a Calvin Harris livestream event that an unreleased demo of "Live Without Your Love" caught the attention of Defected's A&R team, leading the label to ultimately sign the track. Subsequently, Calvin Harris played a set as Love Regenerator for the recent Defected Records Virtual Festival.
The new Calvin Harris single "Live Without Your Love" features Steve Lacy and is due out on June 11th, 2020.
We reflect on five of Madeon's most memorable moments in honor of the producer's 26th birthday.
Since 2010 and perhaps even earlier, Madeon has cemented himself as an EDM wunderkind, with a metoeric rise to stardom at the young age of 15. His storied career thereafter has only become more and more awe-inspiring with each passing year.
In honor of Madeon's 26th birthday today, we put together a list of the dance music superstar's five biggest moments.
Pendulum - "The Island" Remix Competition Win
Fresh off an alias change (from previous producer name and anagram "Deamon"), Madeon chose his current moniker and hit the ground running with a remix of Pendulum's timeless classic "The Island." This work was an entry into Pendulum's remix competition, and it was subsequently crowned winner. With Madeon's signature French spin on electro house, he made waves in the world of EDM right as the SoundCloud era began its upswing, and his Pendulum remix catapulted him directly into the spotlight at a young age.
"Pop Culture"
Those who didn't discover Madeon through his iconic Pendulum remix surely heard his name less than a year later, when the gifted beatmaker showcased a 39-track mashup performed entirely on a Novation Launchpad, simply titled "Pop Culture." However, the unique mashup was anything but simple, and Madeon managed to make those 39 tracks fit together perfectly to form one cohesive and catchy-as-hell song. His impressive performance went viral, and has garnered over 50 million views on YouTube to date.
Lady Gaga's "Born This Way Ball" Tour Support
As electronic dance music continued its rise to prominence, mainstream acts began to take notice. In 2013, pop queen Lady Gaga (a well-known champion of rising EDM acts) enlisted Madeon's support on her Born This Way Ball tour, where he performed across the entire North American leg. Gaining even more notoriety for Madeon as a rising powerhouse, these performances undoubtedly also helped bring EDM into the mainstream.
"Shelter" Live Tour with Porter Robinson
Following his renowned collaboration "Shelter" with close friend and fellow producer Porter Robinson, the two set out on the Shelter Live Tour in 2016, spanning five continents over the course of a year. Marking somewhat of a shift in musical style for both artists, Madeon and Robinson's tour was highly successful and many shows were added due to high demand. Those who got to witness it may not realize how lucky they were, as Madeon has since claimed that "Shelter" and its tour were a "one time thing."
"Good Faith" Album
Fans waited four years for a new album following Madeon's 2015 release, Adventure. After opening up about mental health struggles, he revealed some of the meaning behind the forthcoming album and the reasons for such a lengthy stretch between releases. When Good Faith finally dropped in late 2019, fans got all they were hoping for and more. Showcasing his growth as a producer and touching on those sensitive mental health topics, the album combined old and new, and painted a vivid picture of what's to come from Madeon.
Surely, at just 26 years old, there's still lots to look forward to from him (we can still dream of more Madeon and Porter delights, damn it!), and the world is once again waiting to hear what he does next.

When he's not running Goldman Sachs as its CEO, DJ D-Sol is releasing smooth house music.
By day, David Solomon pulls the strings of Goldman Sachs, one of the nation's largest and most powerful investment banking enterprises. By night, he DJs and produces electronic music asDJ D-Sol, epitomizing a fascinating dichotomy between the worlds of business and music.
DJ D-Sol, who also owns and operates his own Payback Records imprint, released his single "Electric" back in February of this year, teaming up with Hayley May for a melodic deep house number. "Electric" has now received a remix package that can only be described by its own name, featuring three bouncy house reworks from Danny Quest, FANGS, and NYC duo Crush Club, which you can check out below.
Payback Records teamed up with Atlantic's dance music arm, Big Beat Records, for the release. All proceeds collected from the EP will be donated to organizations that provide and deliver basic necessities to frontline healthcare workers who are battling COVID-19.

There's nothing more wholesome than a collaboration between mother and child.
Today we get to hear something we very rarely get to experience—a musical collaboration between mother and child. Moore Kismet, the 15-year-old electronic prodigy, is back with the help of their mother, Momma Kismet, to deliver an impressive trap single titled "Flair" via Never Say Die.
Having a mother who is a semi-professional singer has its perks, even if they don't lend their voice to the track, like in the case of "Flair." Instead, Momma Kismet shared her expertise by helping to craft the melody. The result is a bright, glitch-fueled piece of art that evokes the early work of AraabMuzik. Plus, the Skype loading sound clip is such a simple but effective way to convey emotion, especially when the piece is tied to their mother.
"Writing 'Flair' with my mom was very difficult but also very simple for me," said Moore Kismet in a press statement. "She helped me out so much with the track, and even though we were contemplating doing vocals on it, I knew it had to be fully instrumental because the feeling and emotion behind it speaks volumes. It’s essentially a thank-you note to my mom for all the love and support she’s given me throughout the past 15 years of my life, helping me find my identity and being OK with who I am. I love her more than words can describe, but I hope this song can for those who wish to hear."
Their mother was also effusive about the experience. “Most parents will tell you that their teenagers generally don’t want them all up in their business," said Momma Kismet. "I’m blessed and fortunate that they love having me around and giving them input on things. Working together is really just us spending time together, and I love it!”
Though only 15-years-old, Moore Kismet has already made quite a name for themself in the electronic music scene. Their stage name comes from the meaning "more than fate," symbolizing their ability to find success in this field while simultaneously being able to share their story of who they really are. Kismet is an openly pansexual/nonbinary artist, giving a voice to an underrepresented population in our industry with the support of the LGBTQ+ community at their back.
Over the past year, they've been commissioned for official remixes of Dirty Audio's "Run & Go (feat. Shai Hicari)" and MineSweepa's "Black McLaren," and they recently flipped SVDDEN DEATH's "Rise." They also made waves with their Character EP, starting the relationship with the dubstep heavyweight label Never Say Die. Stay tuned as more information comes out regarding their upcoming EP.

It's not every day you get to work with a friend you've known for over 25 years, but that's the case for Claude VonStroke and Marc Houle, who have released their first collaboration, titled "Fly Guy." With VonStroke growing up in Detroit and Houle just across the river in Windsor, their friendship blossomed with a shared love for music. They used to trade software and sample CDs together, unknowingly building the foundation for two prolific careers in house and techno, respectfully.
You can hear the chemistry at work on "Fly Guy," smoothly melding the two artists' stylings effortlessly. Houle had sent over an old file to his longtime friend, but they soon realized it needed to be brought up to 2020 standards. While the track stays true to the old, funky techno style they both appreciate, they added in an amalgamation of Houle's stripped-down techno and VonStroke's signature flair. That classic pitched down "oh ya" seals the deal for a cohesive homage to Michigan.
Next up, the Dirtybird figurehead gave Houle's 2020 track "Arizona" a rework of his own, which is filled with haunting, sci-fi-sounding synth progressions. The original was a b-side hit off of the No One Knows album, feeling like it came straight from an episode of The Twighlight Zone. It's safe to say VonStroke did it justice.
Houle will be joining VonStroke for a very special "Dirtybird LIVE - Techno Edition" livestream this Sunday, May 31st at 7 PM PST (10PM ET). During this, he will be performing a live one-hour set leading up to the premiere of the unreleased music video for "Fly Guy." VonStroke also recently debuted his fourth studio album, Freaks & Beaks, in celebration of the 15th anniversary of his Dirtybird label and brand.
After teasing a new virtual stage for Couch Lands, Excision is finally ready to put it into action.
Back on May 20th, Excision sent his fans into a fever pitch when he announced that his trusty Lost Lands production team had been diligently working to develop a brand new virtual mainstage for the next Couch Lands livestream event.
That event is now set to take place tomorrow, May 30th, and the dubstep demigod ecstatically took to social media to address his headbangers directly and share the official set times.
Needless to say, expectations are high for the new Couch Lands "Virtual Stage" considering the world-class production quality Excision and his team of virtuosos have offered fans over the years. Episode 1 is primed for its debut tomorrow at 2PM PST (5PM ET), and set to grace its digital mainstage are LEV3L, STUCA, Ubur, Tisoki, Calcium, G-REX, ATLiens, Ghastly, PhaseOne, RiotTen, BoogieT, FuntCase, and DoctorP.
Excision also shared a teaser of the stage, which is downright jaw-dropping.
Tune into the latest edition of Couch Lands at 2PM PST (5PM ET) tomorrow, May 30th, 2020 via the official Lost Lands Twitch channel.
The dance music producer turns the hoedown into a country dance-pop hodgepodge.
Love him or hate him, Diplo knows how to make hits. With the infusion of country music into the mainstream, led by acts like Lil Nas X and Kacey Musgraves, the business savvy producer saw his opportunity to strike, throwing on his bedazzled cowboy hat and introducing Thomas Wesley (his country alter-ego) to the world.
We first got a taste of the new side project with his remix of "Old Town Road," which he played during his Stagecoach debut for the festival's first-ever "Late Night" dance party. Diplo is now back to unveil the project in full, dropping a 12-track album titled Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley Chapter 1: Snake Oil.
Diplo brought out some of country music's biggest stars for the record, including Orville Peck, Cam, Morgan Wallen, Thomas Rhett, Zac Brown, and of course Billy Ray Cyrus. In addition to the country stars, he enlisted the help of radio chart-toppers Jonas Brothers, Julia Michaels, Noah Cyrus, and Young Thug. The feel of the album is markedly dance-pop with a country twang to it. The man knows how to produce, and by adding in these certified artists, he's created a collection of easy listening singles.
To celebrate the release of the album, Diplo hosted a special edition of his livestream variety show "The Thomas Wesley Show," which featured guest appearances by collaborators Cam, Julia Michaels, Jonas Brothers, Orville Peck, Thomas Rhett, and Zac Brown. Chipotle hosted the afterparty on their Twitch channel and offered up a total of 5,000 free burrito codes (1,000 codes every 10 minutes) for viewers throughout the event. The partnership is part of the brand's larger "Chipotle Together" movement, which inspires new connections and social interaction for fans through special virtual events.
"Mvinline" is his debut on fabled house imprint Defected Records.
Boys Noizetoday offered up a serendipitous surprise to his fans in the form of a funky new single called "Mvinline," which was released by fabled house music imprint Defected Records.
The track, which samples Black Ivory’s 1979 disco single “Mainline,” represents a stark contrast to Boys Noize's STRICTLY BVNKER EP, which he released earlier in the month of May. That project was a nod to his darker, warehouse-themed sound, representing a sharp juxtaposition to the kaleidoscopic, disco-inspired flavors of "Mvinline." However, "Mvinline" still holds the raw and technically pristine house production of a signature Boys Noize tune, which Defected has carefully curated and shrewdly imbued into their brand over the years.
“I’ve been following Defected since day one, from when I was a teenager working at a record store. I started off as a house DJ, playing everything from Deep-Acid and Disco, and to this day Defected always had a place in my record case," said Boys Noize in a statement. "So releasing my new single ‘Mvinline’ with this legendary dance institution means a lot! I’m happy to add an eternally banging Disco-House record to Defected’s legacy.”
"Mvinline" arrives during an exciting time for the iconic electronic producer, who is officially credited on Lady Gaga's newly released Chromatica LP, which immediately emerged as an early frontrunner for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Boys Noize appears as a writer on the Chromatica cut "Rain On Me," a high-profile collaboration featuring Ariana Grande that was produced by Tchami, BURNS, and BloodPop®, the latter of whom is the album's executive producer and A&R.
You can listen to "Mvinline" in its entirety below.
Yung Bae's breakthrough hit "Bad Boy" just received a shot of adrenaline straight to the dome.
Yung Bae's breakthrough hit "Bad Boy" just received a shot of adrenaline straight to the dome.
The original single, which featured Marchiafava and bbno$, went viral after its summer 2019 release, climbing to #1 on Spotify’s "Internet People" playlist and becoming a big hit on TikTok. Nearly a year later, Yung Bae has recruited Wiz Khalifa and MAX to join in on his future funk tour de force.
The 2020 version of "Bad Boy" bounces along to the same disco-inspired sound palette that helped the original soar to prominence while adding the renowned hip-hop flavors of none other than Wiz. The Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist infuses his signature flow into the tune, which has an innately kinetic rhythm that oozes the kaleidoscopic undertones of a retro disco house jam. Prominent singer-songwriter MAX, who is also one-half of future funk duo Party Pupils, magnifies the iridescence with his soulful vocals.
Check out the full track below and glide into the weekend with this velvety lockdown anthem.
Kygo's latest album is the perfect soundtrack for the summer.
Three years after the release of his sophomore album Kids In Love, Kygo has now released his third LP, Golden Hour.
Golden Hour is signature Kygo, structured heavily upon whimsical intros, vocal slices, and a tropical feel. The Norwegian super-producer taps loads of talent on his 18-track album, including Zac Brown, OneRepublic, Oh Wonder, and many more. "Broken Glass" with Kim Petras is easily one of the catchiest songs on the LP, perfectly crafted with crisp snaps and energizing lyrics. His previously released collaboration with Sasha Sloan, "I'll Wait," will surely be his latest anthem to take over airwaves in the coming weeks.
While Kygo's signature sound has become unmistakable since his meteoric rise and has helped to solidify his international fame, his tracks that move away from the norm are what set this LP apart from the rest of his discography. "Beautiful," featuring past collaborator Sandro Cavazza, retains similar musical elements to his previous works but enhances them by adding lush synths that transform the track into a dancefloor-filler. He also steps a little outside the box with "Like It Is" featuring Zara Larsson and Tyga, as Kygo has included a rare rap feature.
Longtime fans of Kygo will be over the moon with this collection of new summer jams. You can listen to Golden Hour in full below.
Track after track, Gaga delivers a vulnerable and funky bedroom dance party.
The long-awaited debut of Lady Gaga's sixth studio album Chromatica is finally here. It's her first LP since 2016's Joanne, and first new-music release since the soundtrack to 2018's A Star Is Born. However, this new album feels to pick up where Born This Way left off, as a reboot to her deeply honest, unapologetically Gaga dance-pop ways. She masterfully crafted 16 tracks within 43 minutes with the help of some of dance music's most skilled producers, including BloodPop®,Tchami,BURNS,Axwell,Madeon, Skrillex, among others.
If you enter your Chromatica listening experienceexpecting merely dance-floor music, you are going to have a good time but will miss out on the true beauty Gaga has crafted for us. There's much more lying behind the four-on-the-floor beats and impressive collaborations. With this album, she delivers an emotional depth with nods to her vulnerability, letting her Little Monsters know that it's ok to feel sad as long as they "keep looking for Wonderland."
While each single falls under the dance-pop aesthetic built with a strong foundation with her longtime co-producer BloodPop®, they vary with the help of each of the EDM titans she enlisted as guest producers. Axwell delivers on the empowering tracks "Alice," "Free Woman," and "Sine From Above," which features the only male vocal feature on the entire album from the legendary Elton John. Madeon throws down a funky, disco new wave party on "911," featuring a classic, robotic Gaga vocal that references the 1980 hit "Funky Town."
Skrillex lends his talents to the Barbie-themed "Plastic Doll," featuring the perfect line, "I'm no toy for a real boy." The production is top-of-the-line and is definitely a track you can belt your heart out to during a bedroom dance party. Tchami and BURNS had their hands on more than a few of the record's 16 tracks, including the previously released "Stupid Love" and "Rain On Me," in addition to "1000 Doves" and the ode to the ballroom hit "Babylon."
Even with all these outside influencers adding to the productions, the album is 100% Gaga. She breaks up the tracklist with three orchestral interludes, showcasing itas a true thematic journey. It's the reboot we've been waiting for since she broke into acting, and she delivered tenfold. Though she ran into some bumps in the road with her release being pushed back because of the ongoing pandemic, Chromatica arrived just when we needed it. These will be anthems that we'll be escaping with all summer.
Galantis and Ship Wrek are here to conjure visions of blue tequila sunrises and sun-kissed days on the beach.
Galantis and ShipWrek are here to conjure visions of blue tequila sunrises and sun-kissed days on the beach with their new collaborative single "Only a Fool.
The tandem of electronic duos arrived on Big Beat Records today to drop the bubbly summer anthem, which features a scintillating vocal effort from prodigious R&B singer Pink Sweat$.
"Only a Fool" glides along to the signature house and pop hybrid sound of Galantis, who were smart to team up with Ship Wrek, one of the fastest-rising acts in electronic music. The track represents the latest in a string of high-profile collaborations for the nautical-themed house twofer, who previously teamed up with Valentino Khan for "Obsession" on Diplo's MadDecent banner as well as Dillon Francis, who jumped on "It's My House" from the young duo's March 2020 Mirror Mirror EP.
Galantis have remained their prolific selves, recently appearing on the official soundtrack for Scoob!, the latest major motion picture in the grandiose Scooby Doo franchise. They have kept busy on the performance front as well, appearing on the first-ever Virtual DisDance Festival, a landmark radio livestreaming event produced by SiriusXM. In February, they also teamed up with WaveXR for a VR concert special where they mutated into custom avatars and performed live, amassing over one-million views.
G-Buck wants to thank you for your moshing service.
Philadelphia is perhaps best known for its famous cheesesteaks (wiz wit, all day) and painfully disappointing sports teams, but it is also home to a slew of top-notch electronic music talent. Diplo, Subtronics, and LouisFuton are just three of those names, but the list goes on.
Enter Philly-based DJ and producer G-Buck, who has arrived on Welcome Recordsfor a genre-shattering trap bomb, "Thank U 4 Moshing With Me," which moonlights as an ode to moshing.
G-Buck has been blurring the lines of bass music for years, with a bevy of releases on some of the top tastemakers in dance music, including Skrillex's OWSLA imprint, Diplo's Mad Decent banner, Steve Aoki's Dim Mak, and Flux Pavilion's Circus Records. He now arrives on the Kayzo-owned Welcome Records for yet another blistering dubstep dinger in the form of "Thank U 4 Moshing With Me," which is not for the faint of heart.
With rollicking, crunchy guitar riffs and relentless breaks, the rawk is in full force here, as G-Buck seamlessly blends elements of trap and rock music under one quaking roof. Think Wolfmother meets Jack Ü. The rock elements run roughshod through the track's verses before building and culminating in a screeching trap drop, which churns to a bouncy 87 BPM as opposed to the more popular 140-150 range of the genre.
You can stream "Thank U 4 Moshing With Me" via your favorite streaming platform here.
"Nuclear Bass Face" is the perfect fusion of NGHTMRE's master craftsmanship, Subtronics' unpredictable synths, and Boogie T's psychedelic sound. The trio enters the fray with a chilled out, reggaeton-inspired intro that is quickly engulfed by a menacing build-up. The ensuing drop is complete and utter chaos, as bass stabs and wobbles unrelentingly assault the listener until the track mellows out once again. This collab was crafted in bass music heaven, and fans of any of the artists involved will certainly be pleased with the outcome.
NGHTMRE has become one of the most desirable acts in bass music, largely due to his consistently impressive production as well as his high energy performances. The prolific producer has found himself in collaboration with powerhouse duo SLANDER quite often, leading to some of their most popular projects, such as the single "GUD VIBRATIONS" as well as the formation of their record label under the same name.
Subtronics' heavy-hitting tracks have quickly made him a favorite in the bass music community. His collaboration with GRiZ, "Griztronics," went viral last year as it became the anthem for a trend on Tik Tok. Earlier this year, the Philadelphia-based producer released his Scream Saver EP, which received praise from fans and critics alike.
Boogie T's kendama and beard aren't his only signature traits, as his dancehall-inspired riddim has become unmistakable within the bass music scene. While this is his first release of 2020, he dominated 2019. He appeared alongside Ganja White Night on their 2019 collab "Up" as well as dropped "Supa Fly" with GRiZ.
Armin van Buuren has released a 30-track remix album that's filled to the brim with fan-favorite tunes.
Entitled Relax, the LP was crafted to help listeners feel just that way. Artists like Trinix, Martijn van Velden, Eelke Kleijn, and more have put their own spin on some of Armin's biggest tracks and whipped them into easy listening masterpieces. The album also includes acoustic versions of "All On Me" featuring Brennan Heart and Andreas Moe and "Going Wrong" featuring DJ Shah and Chris Jones, as well as an orchestral version of "This Light Between Us" with Christian Burns.
With a remix package of this caliber, there's bound to be standouts. Lost Frequencies rework of "In And Out Of Love" is an instant classic as he fuses Sharon Den Adel's mystical vocals with shimmering synths, giving the track a haunting feel. Pretty Pink has done an excellent job by shedding the bombastic synths of "Another You" and transforming the track into a laid-back, heartfelt charmer. IHF strips down "Heading Up High," substituting the all-encompassing guitar riffs for minimalistic plucks and a beautifully moving drop.
Overall, Armin van Buuren has offered up a carefully curated remix LP that'll surely keep his fans happy while they eagerly await the return of music festivals and shows as a whole.
Armin van Buuren is undeniably one of the biggest dance music acts in the world. Last year, he released his album Balance, which featured his international hit "Blah Blah Blah." Alongside his ever-popular tunes, Armin has kept fans busy with his A State of Trance radio show and turned heads with the abundance of releases on his Armada Music imprint.
These serve as the third and fourth singles from his debut album.
CONFESSION head honcho Tchami has returned with two new heaters, "Born Again" and "Buenos Aires." These singles are the latest look at his forthcoming debut album Year Zero.
"Born Again" is a catchy dancefloor anthem that's set to make its way around the festival circuit. The distorted vocal sample fits perfectly atop the minimalistic bassline and percussion, creating a true CONFESSION vibe. "Buenos Aires" amps up the energy with an even more infectious vocal sample that Tchami masterfully transforms into the melody of the tune, helping create a joyous feeling about the track. Undoubtedly, these two tracks will sate the cravings of longtime fans who have been patiently waiting for a full-length album from Tchami.
Tchami has cemented his legacy in dance music as one of the forefathers of future house. The French producer has consistently stayed in the spotlight since dropping his smash "Promesses" with Kaleem Taylor in 2015. His meteoric rise was propelled even further with the release of his hits "Prophecy," "After Life," and "Adieu." Tchami also recently contributed to the production of Lady Gaga's single "Rain On Me" from her Chromatica album, also released today.
SLANDER and Jason Ross induce euphoria with their collaborative offering "Better Than Heaven."
SLANDERhas joined Ophelia Records alumnus Jason Ross for a purifying new collaboration, "Better Than Heaven" featuring JT Roach.
The densely melodic single is in alignment with SLANDER's "heaven trap" roots, a niche sub-genre consisting of thumping trap 808's and uplifting leads, which the duo themselves coined. The euphoric single achieves an apex that comes nothing short of befitting its title. Both SLANDER and Jason Ross have reputations for crafting leads that are larger than life and the producers' combined force on "Better Than Heaven" is enough to leave listeners in a surrounding state of bliss. SLANDER strategically premiered the show-stopping track on one of the world's biggest stages possible, Decadence NYE, which instantly captured the attention of thousands who were drawn in by the captivating vocals of JT Roach.
Jason Rosshas been an ascendant force in 2020 especially following the release of his album1000 Faces at the start of the year. His impressive debut album featured a slew of dance music favorites including vocalist Dia Framptonas well as fellow producers Dabin and Seven Lions.
Meanwhile, JT Roach, an accomplished songwriter, has notably appeared on NBC's Songland, and is no stranger to SLANDER. Previously, SLANDER enlisted JT Roach for the duo's wistful 2019 single "Potions" which was produced alongside Said The Sky.

For the first time in 90 years, The Greek Theatre will hold no events.
Guidelines surrounding safety during the global COVID-19 pandemic have been instituted by health organizations and governments across the nation and the globe. In order to protect the population and limit the spread of the virus, music venues and event centers have seen darker times than they'd imagined, forcibly closing their doors for an indeterminable amount of time. The latest venue to fall victim to these closures is iconic Los Angeles outdoor venue The Greek Theatre.
LA's other illustrious open air theater, The Hollywood Bowl, was also forced to cancel its 2020 season just two weeks ago. Now, The Greek Theatre has announced its cancellation of all events for 2020. The venue will use the time of closure to reschedule events booked for this year and readjust to new regulations and restrictions during the pandemic in order to better plan for the future.
2020 is the first time in The Greek Theatre's 90-year run that it will hold no events. “We had hoped to celebrate our 90th anniversary season of providing live entertainment for the citizens of Los Angeles," said Los Angeles Parks Executive AP Diaz in a statement. "We feel it is the right, responsible, and safe thing for fans, artists, staff, and Griffith Park community to pause on live, large crowd events until 2021.”
Some shows have already been rescheduled while some have been cancelled entirely. Among the concerts that will not see a rescheduled date are Gladys Knight, Above & Beyond, and Ke$ha. Fans who were planning on attending those or other cancelled events, or who are looking for more information on rescheduled dates, can do so via The Greek Theatre's website.
The music video for BRONSON's self-titled album's lead single "Heart Attack" (feat. lau.ra) is out now.
Superstar EDM duo ODESZA are well-known for their epic, cinematic future bass productions and captivating live performances. They recently teamed up with indie dance producer Golden Features for a new collaborative project called BRONSON, which is every bit as enthralling as one might expect. The trio's debut single from their forthcoming self-titled album, "Heart Attack (feat. lau.ra)," now has a fascinating new music video in accompaniment.
BRONSON takes a melodic deep house approach, blending those signature ODESZA melodies with the groove and danceability that has brought Golden Features to the forefront of house music production. "Heart Attack" has a nearly vintage feel to it, with a punchy bass line and chunky percussion, but lau.ra's emotive vocal work and the atmospheric synths and pads bring the new single right into the middle of 2020.
The song's music video is a perfect pairing, mirroring the moodiness and melancholy in an abstract visual feast by director Balázs Simon and production company Blinkink, whose portfolio includes work with Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Elton John, and more. Impressive 3D animation and motion capture are brilliantly used in the video, which was produced entirely in quarantine.
"It was one of those ideas that came together really quickly and felt very natural while writing with lau.ra," says BRONSON about their new single. "Ultimately, it was a confluence between the two distinctive sounds of ODESZA and Golden Features. It served as a turning point in the writing process of the album and an inspiration for the other vocal tracks to come."

Welcome Records is quickly emerging as one of the most coveted tastemakers in bass music. With Kayzoat the helm, the imprint has demonstrated a unique ability to unearth trailblazing music in the dubstep and trap spheres, as well as their many sub-genres.
Barnstorming bass music duo RIOT recently arrived on the Welcome Records banner with "Jackknife," a blistering dubstep and rock hybrid that that is—for lack of a better term—not for the faint of heart.
Back in November 2019, we were fortunate enough to chat with the rising tandem, who said they were "excited to let the listeners into [their] brains." If "Jackknife" is any indication, the mind of RIOT is something to marvel at considering the track's masterful genre-blending.
Both Welcome Records and Kayzo are known to alchemize rock and dubstep to lethal effect, and "Jackknife" follows the same tried-and-true formula. The tune is more rawk than rhythm, using crunchy guitar riffs and vicious bass patches, which amalgamate into a kinetic bass tune that has dubstep anthem written all over it.
You can download or listen to "Jackknife" via your go-to streaming platform here.
