Jauz Teams Up with Wave to Debut his Dangerous Waters Tour in a Live VR Concert Experience

The worldwide premiere of his new EP will take place January 8th, 2020.

A few months back Jauz (real name Sam Vogel) announced his Dangerous Waters tour in partnership with Insomniac. The Bite This! label head is set to ship off on an eight-stop tour starting January 18th, 2020, and the news does not stop there. The DJ/producer has now teamed up with the entertainment technology company Wave to bring fans a special live virtual performance of Dangerous Waters ahead of the tour.

On January 8th from Wave Studio in Los Angeles, California, fans around the world can attend this special set via Vogel's YouTube and Twitch channels. They will have access to play "games within the game" during the live performance. Prepare for an underwater experience as you witness Vogel as a real-time avatar debuting his new EP amongst visuals inspired by - you guessed it - sharks.

“An underwater concert is the kind of mind-blowing world that virtual concerts empower. This Wave will be absolutely stunning - showcasing what’s possible with game engine graphics and the creative drive to perform for fans in a totally interactive way,” said Adam Arrigo, co-founder and CEO of Wave. “Jauz is a gamer who lives on sites like Twitch, so he’s designed his Wave to embrace this live audience connection. We will see you in Dangerous Waters in the new year!”

Vogel has been an active member of the Twitch community for some time now. This year he partnered with the platform and Discord to host a monthly "Demo Roulette" series in which his live streams give viewers the chance to co-produce a song together while fans watch the creative process.

If you wish to join in on the magic this January 8th, make sure to tune in to his Twitch or YouTube channels. For those who want to participate in the VR experience, you can attend live using your own avatar through Wave's VR and PC desktop apps which are supported on Steam for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Windows Mixed Reality.

Catch the Dangerous Waters tour in-person in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, and Brooklyn. Purchase tickets and pre-save the new EP on the Jauz website.
