Diplo and Trippie Redd Release Alternate Music Video for "Wish"

The tone of the alternate take is a far cry from the original video.

Nearly two years following its release, Diplo and Trippie Redd have a new music video out for their 2018 single, "Wish." The original release arrived by way of Diplo's star-studded EP California which saw the producer team up with Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, and more.

The new version of the video presents a far more gruesome vision compared to that of the original. The video begins with a depiction of Trippie Redd attacking himself by various means.

A watershed moment occurs in the middle of the video when Trippie Redd is attacked and proclaimed dead. At this point the camera pans to reveal a production set where the crew scrambles to wrap up the now deceased Trippie Redd. The crew ultimately disposes of his body over a bridge and the video ends.

The new version is a far cry in its tone from the crystal chandeliers, flashy strobes, flowers, and goats of the original video. Fans online have pointed out, however, that the two videos were likely recorded around the same time. As one fan pointed out, the amount of face tattoos on Trippie Redd is the clearest proxy.

As Diplo questioned, "How many times does Trippie die in this video?" Find out in their alternate "Wish" video here.

Is Flume Releasing Music Under the Alias 300ZX Z31?

There are several "coincidences" tying Flume to this mysterious new project.

A 31-second track by 300ZX Z31 has appeared on Spotify and fans are tying the new music to Flume

The track titled "The Difference" popped up on both the "Hi This Is Playlist" and the "Flume Essentials" playlists, which are operated by Flume's management team. The cryptic artist name also ties to Flume as 300ZX Z31 is the model of the car that was prominently featured on Flume's Hi This Is Flume mixtape.

Flume (real name Harley Edward Streten) has been vocal about getting new music out in 2020, even stating he aims to write his sophomore album in the span of four months. 300ZX Z31 could prove to be another creative outlet of his in the time forthcoming - assuming it is, in fact, an alternate alias.

Separately, Streten also reposted a clip of an interview suggesting he has a drum 'n' bass track with Toro y Moi in the works. The post is leading many to believe that collaboration might soon become a reality.

Needless to say, Flume has some irons in the fire and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

WE ARE FURY Releases Their First Track of the Year "Running Back to You" (feat. Alexa Lusader)

This duo is back with a relatable track for this festival season.

Back from a stacked 2019, the Canadian duo, WE ARE FURY has returned with their first track of the year, "Running Back to You" ft. Alexa Lusader. Tapping into their melodic side, the track showcases the duo's ability to write simple, yet intricate melodies. As part of their upcoming album, this track sets the mood for quite the release to come.

Drawing chord changes from jazz, melodic dubstep growls, marching drums and smooth yet powerful vocals from LA-based Alexa Lusader, the track tells a story of love gone wrong. Tapping into the heartstrings, the lyrics talk about everything she would do for a person that is not reciprocating. Commenting on the meaning of the track Alexa says:

"The track is about the love of love & welcoming it to potentially unhealthy degrees. It came from a passionate place in my heart because sometimes it is true, I'd rather be fucked up from love than nothing at all."

Currently on tour with ARMNHMR, WE ARE FURY has now made their US debut. Be the first to know about all of their future endeavors by giving them a follow or a like below. "Running Back to You" is available now on most major streaming platforms, click here to listen.

Lady Gaga's "Stupid Love" is Finally Here Co-Produced by Tchami and BloodPop

Lady Gaga is back in prime form.

The hype surrounding Lady Gaga's return to the airwaves has been skyrocketing and the wait is finally over; "Stupid Love" is here. Weeks ago when the track was leaked, we heard that infectious electronic beat and the excitement intensified even more. Everything made sense once we found out that Tchami and BloodPop® were listed as co-producers on the track.

The track is a certified Gaga bop, filled with her classic "rah-rah"-esque vocals solidifying her yet again as the reigning queen of pop music. The producers lend their electronic ears to the beat, adding in catchy synth work and a throbbing bassline. The beautifully strange Lady Gaga we know and love is back.

She accompanied the track with a visually stunning music video shot solely on an iPhone 11 Pro and directed by Daniel Askill. It's a bright post-apocalyptic, psychedelic landscape channeling her "Born This Way" ideals that love is the only way to survive this crumbling society.

Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) previously worked with Tchami (real name Martin Bresso) and BloodPop® (real name Michael Tucker) alongside Boys Noize on her 2019 HAUS Laboratories ad. Separately, Tucker aided on her Joanne album and Bresso co-wrote "Applause".

Word is out that the new album, LG6, will be coming soon. Check back in as more information comes through for this release.

Martin Garrix Joins Forces with Rising Star Clinton Kane for "Drown"

"Drown" is the first single from the Dutch superstar in 2020.

Martin Garrix (real name Martijn Garritsen) has a keen eye for up and coming talent and that's exactly why this new collaboration is so exciting. Today, we've received his latest single "Drown" featuring rising vocalist Clinton Kane. The pop fusion track has hit written all over it and will definitely serve to skyrocket Kane's career.

The single is lead with Kane's emotive vocals, built for all the lovers out there. Layered on top of the Dutch heavyweight's signature upbeat style, it plays to the feeling of taking the good and bad in a relationship, knowing that as long as you're with them, you'll be happy. This is definitely a song that will be belt out across the globe at his big stadium shows.

Born to Norwegian and Filipino parents, Kane grew up teaching himself to sing, play guitar, piano, and the drums. He gained attention for his crooning vocals and eventually signed to Columbia, which lead him to being discovered by Garritsen. On the topic of "Drown," Kane says:

“Martin is such a warm human and a mad talent. It was heaps of fun writing and working with him on this track. We actually only met after the song was fully finished due to logistical issues and volcanic eruptions. Thank god for technology! Love him to death.”

Garritsen has been teasing fans with upcoming releases including his mega-collab with Zedd which he said he'd love to debut at Tomorrowland or Ultra Music Festival. In addition to the song announcements, he released the final episode of Season 4 of The Martin Garrix Show at the beginning of the month.

Morten makes a gigantic return with his latest dance floor heater on Spinnin' Records

Denmark-born, LA-based superstar Morten is back with an epic dance floor heater, which is ironically enough named “Polar.” Out now on Spinnin’ Records, the tune is hot enough to cause global warming, melt our precious polar ice caps, and infuriate environmentalists the world over.

You Heard it Here First: "Raw" from Sacha Robotti and Who Is Hush's EP, 2020 Vision

Sacha Robotti has turned to techno for his collaborative EP with Who Is Hush via Octopus Recordings.

Sacha Robotti may be best known for booty-shaking tech house, but his latest endeavor sees him explore the introspective sonic landscapes of techno. EDM.com is proud to premiere "Raw" from his and Who Is Hush's new EP, 2020 Vision by way of Octopus Recordings.

Set to a faster pace than typical Sacha Robotti releases, "Raw" is a particularly driving cut from the EP. Striking a cerebral balance between sterile sound effects and more tonal elements, the single demonstrates the Los Angeles-based producer's creative dimension.

That's not to say this is uncharted territory for Who Is Hush. Also calling Los Angeles home, he recently delivered a techno two-tracker titled Infinite Cycles EP via Sector Black.

"Our 2020 Vision EP is the sonic result of us wanting to experiment out of the box, which also made it a no brainer for us trying to blend a live and DJ performance together in an effort to bring machine soul to the dance floor," said Sacha Robotti in a statement. "Who knows, maybe you’ll find our project on stage sometime this year?“

Marshmello Deletes All Posts from His Instagram Account

What could Marshmello have in the works?

If social media serves as any indicator, Marshmello may be gearing up for an announcement of sorts. The masked DJ/producer cleaned out his Instagram account, leading many to believe that new music or something else entirely may be on the way.

Whereas some artists simply upload solid-black default images to their accounts lead up to a big reveal, however, Marshmello (real name Chris Comstock) went a little more extreme. He appears to have deleted every post from the account, which has nearly 30 million followers.

Comstock has not put out any solo releases thus far in 2020. Earlier in the week, though, he and SVDDEN DEATH dropped their second collaboration, "Crusade." Last year the masked hitmaker released his Joytime III album, collaborated with numerous pop and hip-hop artists, and made waves with his in-game Fortnite concert.

Aside from new profile pictures that match that of his Instagram account, Marshmello's Twitter and Instagram accounts don't appear to have been significantly altered at the time of writing.

Azgard Release Enforcer EP

Prepare to meet your maker.

Chicago-based duo Azgard (real names Matt Domas and Kevin Thoren) have seen quite the buzz in the United States midwest recently. With releases on Firepower Records and breaking into the top 10 of Beatport's dubstep and electro charts, the pair have been hard at work on new music. Now, their new Enforcer EP looks to impress listeners even more with a wide array of heavy bass sounds.

View the original article to see embedded media.

Enforcer opens with the title track, and pulls no punches right off the bat. With a Mortal Kombat-inspired vocal sample, the narrator warns the listener, "prepare to meet your maker," before the audio assault begins. The breakdowns and drops bring to mind early Porter Robinson works, but Domas and Thoren bring a heavy and crisp edge to the electro-tinged dubstep sound.

The second track, "R I P," brings a slasher film flavor that would be right at home on Freddy Krueger's Spotify playlist. Heavy dubstep paints a vivid and horrifying dreamscape at the first drop, but at the three minute mark, a psytrance influence infiltrates the track, switching things up entirely.

To close the Enforcer EP, Domas and Thoren team up with Two Attics for "Humanity," a track that retains the heaviness of the EP but brings a melodic edge to the table. "Humanity" is in the same wheelhouse as a Xilent or Chime production, perfectly blending elements of trance and dubstep.

Azgard's latest is a well-rounded release that showcases Domas and Thoren's musical repertoires and history rather effectively. No telling what's next for the  duo, but their talent will surely take them to great heights in the U.S. Midwest and beyond.

Badman and MixedMind Team Up on "Dozer 6ixx"

The new collaboration is an experimental trip.

Iowa-based dubstep duo Badman (real names Adam Ellis and Dallas Nicholson) are fresh off of their deep and experimental EP, Meditative State. Now, they have teamed up with fellow Iowans MixedMind for a brand-new single that's sure to satisfy those cravings for experimental low-end goodness.

View the original article to see embedded media.

"Dozer 6ixx" utilizes a cheeky sample about experimentation with LSD, but the track is a trip in and of itself. The samples play off the crisp drums and metallic wobbling noises, vibrantly illustrating hallucinogenic effects without the need for any extracurricular substances. Those samples continue throughout the track, taking listeners on a journey through not only the low end of the frequency spectrum, but perhaps the inner workings of of their own perception.

This team-up between Badman and MixedMind is billed under the BadMind alias, and is the first official collaboration between the two duos. There isn't any word yet on whether the collaborative project will continue releasing music. "Dozer 6ixx" is a fresh and unique take on the experimental bass genre, though, and more BadMind music would certainly be welcomed by fans of the genre.

On This Day in Dance Music History: Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü Came Out

Jack Ü delivered their first and only album on February 27th, 2015.

At the apex of the EDM decade, two musical sensations delivered a longform body of work under their much-hyped side project. Diplo and Skrillex began releasing music as Jack Ü in 2014, but their first and only studio-length album arrived in the form of Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü on February 27th, 2015.

Prior to forming their supergroup, both artists had risen to superstar status in EDM. Skrillex (real name Sonny Moore) had effectively set a new standard for bass music sound design with the My Name Is Skrillex EP in 2010, and Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz) brought international flair to the movement with his band, Major Lazer, in addition to countless hip-hop-leaning solo releases. Combined, they were a force to be reckoned with.

Although they debuted as Jack Ü with a performance at Mad Decent Block Party in San Diego in September of 2013, Moore and Pentz did not release their first single under the project, "Take Ü There" featuring Kiesza, until a year later. When their album finally arrived in early 2015, they had amassed a formidable group of collaborators. 2 Chainz, AlunaGeorge, Snails and Bunji Garlin were among the artists credited on entries of its tracklist. To celebrate the release, they hosted a 24-hour back-to-back performance via Twitch live stream that was shut down after 18 hours.

Perhaps no other song on the album made the impact of "Where Are Ü Now" featuring Justin Bieber, however. It was released at a time when the pop icon faced media backlash while growing into himself post child stardom, and the support from Moore and Pentz helped redeem him in the public eye to a degree. The two producers would go on to collaborate with him on his November, 2015 album, Purpose.

Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü certainly elevated the careers of Moore and Pentz. It sold the equivalent of 14,000 in the first week following its release, and went certified Gold (meaning it sold 500,000 copies) by June of 2016. Whether the two artists' paths continue to cross, their project will remain one of the most recognized brands of the EDM decade.

Disclosure Drop Second and Third New Singles in One Week

The long-awaited new Disclosure songs have a strong disco influence.

Since announcing their hiatus three years ago, electronic heavyweight sibling duo Disclosure (real names Guy and Howard Lawrence) enjoyed some "much needed rest," barely making a peep in that time frame. Besides a collaboration with Khalid called "Talk," the Lawrence brothers have been nearly silent on the front of music releases.

Fans will be elated to know that silence has been broken. Two days ago, Disclosure released a brand new single, "Ecstasy." But, the duo have decided to keep the ball rolling and surprise fans with two more new songs, "Tondo" and "Expressing What Matters," in the same week.

View the original article to see embedded media.
View the original article to see embedded media.

The new Disclosure sound is heavily influenced by the disco records of old, channeling an old school vibe but deeply incorporating the filter house vibes much akin to Daft Punk's iconic "Revolution 909" and other genre-defining tracks. "Tondo" teeters on world beat, incorporating lively vocal chants from Cameroonian musician Eko Roosevelt and bass guitar, while retaining the duo's classic flair.

"Expressing What Matters" takes the tempo down a bit to a more familiar feel for Disclosure tracks, with a choppy bass line and soulful Boz Skaggs samples. Both tracks rely heavily on sampling, but they keep things fresh for 2020 in a unique way for which the Lawrence brothers have become so well known.

There haven't yet been any announcements in regards to whether or not these new singles will be part of an album. What matters to fans is that Disclosure are back, and they certainly haven't missed a beat.

W&W Team Up with Sandro Silva and Zafrir for "Wizard Of The Beats"

The producers worked their magic on a new big room banger.

Well known for their arena-rocking beats, Dutch big room duo W&W (real names Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst) have provided some of the genre's most memorable anthems like "Arcade Mammoth" and "Live The Night." Now, the duo have joined forces with fellow Dutchman Sandro Silva and Zafrir for their next single, "Wizard Of The Beats".

The spellbinding new production sits nicely among Wvan Hanegem and van der Harst's extensive discography, expanding on a sound on which the duo have had a tremendous influence. With the help of Silva and Zafrir, they've taken this production to new heights within the genre of big room house.

Packed with anthemic stabs and plenty of reverb, "Wizard" builds a catchy earworm of a melody into a four-on-the-floor beat that packs a serious punch. Destined to be among the most memorable big room house tracks of the year, if not the decade, "Wizard Of The Beats" is sure to leave fans more than satisfied.

The new collaboration is the first between W&W and Sandro Silva. Zafrir's added touch on the entrancing vocal sections enlisted the help of a choir to fill the track out nicely. Combining the talents of all these big room heavyweights proves that an all-star roster can still achieve perfect chemistry.

"Wizard Of The Beats" is out now.

You Heard It Here First: Ferry Corsten and Purple Haze Team Up on "Flanging"

The new collaboration has an anthemic old-school feel.

There is much buzz about the legendary trance producer Ferry Corsten as of late. Fresh off of announcing his soon-to-be iconic What The F tour run (which will feature a Ferry Corsten set as well as sets under his other aliases, Gouryella and System F), Corsten has now released a collaborative single with Sander van Doorn's alter-ego, Purple Haze. Buckle up, because this one's wild.

Boasting an old school feel, Corsten and Van Doorn's new collaboration, "Flanging," calls to mind classic arena trance anthems. The rolling bass lines in the intro lead nicely into the main synth section, which continually slows in tempo during the breakdown, before powering back up into the main hook's flanging (hence the name) melody.

That melody is reminiscent of Veracocha's 1999 trance classic, "Carte Blanche," but make no mistake - "Flanging" is forward-thinking enough to become an instant classic in 2020. Corsten and Van Doorn's ability to evoke the nostalgic feel of early trance while staying relevant to the modern sound is impeccable, which is why those two names have remained a mainstay in the world of trance music and electronic dance music as a whole.

"Flanging" is out now and can be found at this link.

Dance Dance Revolution World Champion-Turned DJ Releases DDR-Themed Music Video

Kantor's video for "Concrete Jungle" is a live performance of the song on a custom DDR MIDI Launchpad.

It's time to revisit the after-school arcade hall, because Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) might be making a comeback this festival season.

Featured on the latest music video from Kantor, an artist new to the electronic scene, the game is reimagined into a custom MIDI Launchpad. Using four custom DDR pads, Kantor dances around to trigger sounds and create the song, "Concrete Jungle," as a 3D projector provides live visuals on the DJ's footsteps.

The creative, technology-intensive music video is right up Kantor's ally, as he was the inaugural Dance Dance Revolution World Champion when he was 14. Now producing music, Kantor has transformed his rhythm-savvy roots into a sound mixing techno, bass and futuristic synths. "Concrete Jungle," released independently, is high energy and dynamic, acting as the perfect soundtrack for a music video that will make you sweat just watching it.

The majority of Kantor's catalogue was released under another alias, providing him opportunities to tour alongside Steve Aoki and Kendrick Lamar. His new project's debut single, "Enter the Grid," was released in January with an equally tech heavy music video and - wait for it - a DDR feature.

Galantis on their Groundbreaking Virtual Performance [Interview]

The DJ duo will livestream their virtual reality headset on YouTube tonight, viewable without a headset on any screen.

Today, February 26th, EDM duo Galantis embarked on a groundbreaking performance venture, pairing with Wave to perform a one-of-a-kind virtual concert.

Part of their 2020 Church of Galantis Tour, the concert invited fans from all corners of the world to tune in and enjoy the Swedish group's upbeat anthems together.

Putting a twist on regular, camera-feed based live streams, the Church of Galantis virtual performance incorporated CG avatars of the duo, using motion capture technology so fans can watch their movements in real time.

With a 30-minute runtime, the show featured dynamic visual themes and represent virtual attendees with seafox avatars in the crowd. It used tropical imagery and bright colors to create a powerful visual accompaniment for the group's most iconic tracks.

EDM.com caught up with the duo, comprised of Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw, before the performance. Read on to see what they had to say.

EDM: What are you excited for with this new show format?

Galantis: We’re excited to try something so fresh and new, and work with such incredible technology. These VR concerts could very well be the future of live music.

How does it feel to be broadcasting a completely original show live to fans across the world?

It feels great to know that even fans we might not be able to reach on tour will be able to experience a Church of Galantis live set.

Why is it so important to bring everyone together through this Wave event?

Bringing people together is what our new album, Church, is all about. When we looked up the definition of the word, it means “a body of believers” – and that’s what we think the fans that come out to our shows are, people bonded together to have fun and be a part of something positive.

What are you able to do with an animated show that you couldn't do with an in-person performance? Why is that cool and exciting?

The most exciting thing is that fans from all over the world can be in the same “room” and experience a Galantis show together.

What do you hope your fans are able to take away from this set?

We hope it will be a fun mini-escape, and take them away from their daily reality. Depending on time zone, they could be at work, at home, anywhere.

What can we look forward to seeing? Any new tracks?

You’ll definitely hear songs from our new album, Church, and we might even have a special guest from one of our new singles pop in.

What’s so special about the Seafox community?

SeafoxNation is incredible, they always give us the energy we need in our sets and have grown with us over the years. We love that they let us evolve in our sound.

Abraxis A.K.A. Seven Lions and Dimibo Upload "Amygdala Mix"

The psytrance trio are back to take you to school.

Last year we saw the birth of Abraxis, the new side project of Seven Lions and Seattle-based duo Dimibo. After blowing the audience away with their live debut at Dreamstate SoCal, the psytrance trio have been inaugurating fans into the official Abraxis Institute - a movement for those with extraordinary cognitive abilities. They are now back to drop the "Amygdala Mix." The title alone lets you know they're about to blow your mind with this one.

The mix, running roughly an hour long, is a masterful blend of heavy psytrance productions that will get your spirit jumping. Included in the set is the trio's first release, "Old Gods," as well as remixed versions of the Seven Lions (real name Jeff Montalvo) single "Island" with Wooli and Trivecta featuring Nevve. After a mix like this, enrollment in the institute will be out the door.

The trio continue to intrigue with their alluring live lectures. They are planning to take us all to school at the upcoming EDC Las Vegas. Fans are still waiting for the unreleased single "Black Rainbow," which they teased behind a survey on their website. There also seems to be a Crystal Skies collaboration in the works, so stay tuned as more news comes out.

Harmonix's New Game, Fuser, Gives Everyone the Chance to Become a Festival DJ

Now you too can become a DJ hero.

If being a DJ performing in front of a crowd of thousands has always seemed like an unreachable dream, you may be in luck. Harmonix, the developer behind Rock Band and Dance Central, is back with their latest music game, Fuser. The NC soft-published game allows players to explore the world of mixing music in front of a massive festival from the comforts of their own home.

Where the previous games released from the same developer required the player to obtain a special controller, Fuser stands apart by allowing you to use your standard gamepad. Become the DJ hero you've always wanted to be with a simple, one-time purchase. Those who access the game will have over 100 songs to mix at their fingertips.

The user will have four decks to control with very few restrictions stopping you from throwing down what you please. From Billie Eilish to Fatboy Slim, your sets are at the helm of your own creativity. Your only mission: keep the crowd hyped.

An interesting aspect of the game is this crowd pleasing portion. One of the most commonly voiced complaints of DJs (unless they're open format) is song requests. The main idea behind the gameplay is that festival attendees will DM their requests during your set, asking for new genres and music from specific decades or artists. They start off easy but soon build and become very targeted. From the sounds of it, you have to be able to keep up with these requests - something many real life DJs despise.

Because most players purchasing the program will more than likely not have a DJ background, the developers have set up Fuser to automatically smooth out the transitions from track to track. However, this does not mean matching bpm is out of the equation in the more challenging settings. The user is even allowed to add in their own instrumentation and custom beats.

While previous Harmonix games had you battling for glory, with Fuser you start off playing at stages that look to be at festivals on the caliber of Tomorrowland or Electric Daisy Carnival. Each stage you move to will require the player to tailor their mixes to the crowd. Just as in real life, a 3:00 PM set will call for something different from a 3:00 AM set.

That's not all. Players will also be allowed to team up with friends with a multiplayer feature. You can collaborate on tracks, and maybe even go back to back? Gamers have the option to go into freestyle mode, arranging and recording mixes and sharing with others.

Harmonix product manager Daniel Sussman has explained that just as in previous games from the developer, Fuser is not meant to replace learning the art in a classical sense. It's meant for entertainment, but there's no denying it does work as a great introduction to the world of mixing and may help people hear music in a different way.

Fuser will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC this fall. Harmonix will bring the game to PAX East this upcoming weekend, where attendees will get the chance to test out the new interface.

RÜFÜS DU SOL Premier Audiovisual Experience, Live from Joshua Tree

Following their 2020 GRAMMY nominations, Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL released a new live immersive film.

Floating on cloud nine following their two recent GRAMMY Awards nominations, live electronic band RÜFÜS DU SOL (previously RÜFÜS) have taken their career one step further with the band's new audiovisual experience, Live from Joshua Tree. The film premiered at the Vista Theatre in Los Feliz on Tuesday, February 18th to a sold-out house of over 400 attendees.

With their thrilling live sets and melodic electronic beats, the Los Angeles-based trio have steadily traversed their way into mainstream culture since dropping their first studio album, Atlas, in 2014. Throughout the 45-minute immersive film, the band performs an exclusive live set featuring pieces from their three highly revered studio albums as well as new material with majestic Joshua Tree National Park providing quite a scenic backdrop. The trio's GRAMMY-nominated album, SOLACE, was first recorded in Joshua Tree, so it should come as no surprise that it feels like such a natural setting.

Throughout the 45-minute film, breathtakingly beautiful and intricate cinematography including multiple aerial shots powerfully recreates their dynamic and captivating live set. Through lead singer Tyrone Lindqvist's ethereal live vocals, their numerous celestial synths, and James Hunt's brilliant drum solos, RÜFÜS DU SOL powerfully portray the depth of their musical genius. Performing some of the band's most revered tracks such as "Solace," “Underwater,” and "No Place," RÜFÜS DU SOL bring their audience into a state of hypnotic reverie where they can powerfully experience the pure joy of ecstatic bliss.

Drummer James Hunt shares had this to say in regard to how the film came together:

"The idea for a film was born out of a writing trip in Joshua Tree when we were trying to finish SOLACE. We stayed up all night writing and as the sun rose, this creeping light over the valley made its way into the room. We climbed these wild rock formations to a little vista at the top, about 100 feet above where we were writing, and sat to take in the sunrise. We were listening to tunes on a speaker and someone put on ‘Time’ by the Pachanga Boys. Watching dawn break with this epic 15-minute journey playing out, we started joking about putting together a sunrise set in the desert where we would play to no one. People talk a lot of shit in the desert at 5:00 AM, but walking around this alien world at dawn, we definitely felt there was something calling us back out there. So over an 18 month period, we workshopped ideas and locations and finally were able to put time aside to shoot in September last year. It was decided sunset would be more practical for our crew. We originally planned for it to be a live stream, but as the idea grew and the production got bigger and bigger, it organically morphed into a film. It’s something that’s taken two years to pull together and something we are so excited to share with the world and make available everywhere.”

RÜFÜS DU SOL: Live from Joshua Tree will be released worldwide along with the live album on Friday, March 6th. The trio are currently on a headline world tour which kicked off with a performance at Envision Festival in Costa Rica this past weekend. Their 2020 tour will culminate with three headline dates at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado this August.

RÜFÜS DU SOL: Live from Joshua Tree Tracklist:

1. Valley of the Yuccas (Live from Joshua Tree)
2. Eyes (Live from Joshua Tree)
3. New Sky (Live from Joshua Tree)
4. Desert Night (Live from Joshua Tree)
5. Solace (Live from Joshua Tree)
6. Underwater (Live from Joshua Tree)
7. Innerbloom (Live from Joshua Tree)
8. No Place (Live from Joshua Tree)

Tchami Drops "Ghosts" ft. HANA and "Proud" ft. Daecolm from Debut Album

Two singles from Tchami's long-awaited debut album are out now.

Last week Tchami excited his fans by announcing that his first-ever studio length album was coming at long last. Mere days later he's already shared two singles from the effort: "Ghosts" featuring HANA and "Proud" featuring Daecolm.

"Ghosts" sees the Parisian DJ/producer double down on the ethereal style of house he's come to favor as of late. "Proud" exhibits somewhat more worldly flair, with Daecolm's soulful verses framed by melodies seemingly inspired by exotic settings.

Tchami (real name Martin Bresso) inspired a wave of future house artists with singles like "Go Deep" and "Promesses" before launching his own record label, Confession, in 2015. Since then, he's provided a platform for such talent as ANGELZ, Malaa, Jace Mek and Dustycloud.

Bresso still has yet to announce a title, release date or any other information regarding his upcoming debut album. He recently kicked off his Elevation North American Tour, which will continue with a show at London Music Hall in London, Ontario, Canada on Thursday, February 27th.

GEO and Josh Rubin Attack the Airwaves on Blistering Hard Dance Anthem "Cold War"

GEO and Josh Rubin sent out a call to arms for their latest Pink Floyd-inspired tune.

GEO, one of hard dance's most promising young producers, has returned to the airwaves with another blistering tune. His latest, "Cold War," sees the Long Beach native join forces with vocalist Josh Rubin for a track that's pure, concentrated mayhem.

From the moment you press play, you realize this isn't your everyday tune. Sirens and broken glass set the scene before a group of rioters organize a march. After that, Rubin takes the stage and flips lyrics from Pink Floyd's classic "Another Brick in the Wall" into a call-to-arms preparing listeners for the mayhem that's about to ensue.

Following the battle plan briefing from Rubin is a grand entrance from the commander-in-chief himself, GEO. Not for the faint of heart, he doubles down on the riotous nature of "Cold War" with cannons loaded to the brim with supersonic hard bass aimed right at the listener. The product is another hard dance classic at a scorching 165 BPM that showcases the controlled chaos that only GEO could deliver.

Last month, fans were excited to see him take the stage for a few stops on GRAVEDGR's ”6 Feet Under Tour.” In addition to his recent performances, he shared the news that he would be performing at the legendary EDC Las Vegas in May.

"Cold War" ft. Josh Rubin by GEO is out now. You can stream or download the latest from the illustrious hard dance artist here.
